Fresh Broad Bean with Olive Oil
Fresh broad bean is a Asian oriented vegetable. It is rich in protein and carbohydrate and contains A,C,B,B2 vitamins. Have so many benefits for our body.
I love every vegetable very much, but fresh broad beans is my number one. Not everyone may like it, some are love or hate vegetables. My recipe is down below, I hope you like it too.
Ingredients
- 500 gr fresh broad bean (when buying fresh broad beans prefer the small and thinner ones, they cook faster and are better in taste)
- 1 onion
- 5 table spoons of olive oil
- dill
- 1 table spoon sugar
- 1 table spoon flour
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1/2 lt water
- salt
Instructions
Cut the ends of the fresh beans and wash them. Dice the onion and fry them slightly until they soften. Add the flour and stir for two to three minutes. Boil the water and add it to the onion flour mix. Stir it so that the flour becomes evenly in the water. Let it boil for two minutes and add the fresh beans, sugar and salt. Cook for twenty to thirty minutes. Before taking from oven add the chopped dill and lemon juice. You can eat this meal both hot and cold.
