Fetta Cheese & Leek Börek
There are a classical böreks and then there is the leek börek :) Ok I like every kind of börek but the leek börek always makes me feel better. It is also ideal if you are looking for a different taste for your guests and yourself. I hope you like it.
Ingredients
- 1 kg leek
- 60 gr fetta cheese
- 3 flat pastry (yufka)
- 2 eggs
- 250 ml milk
- 4 tablespoon yoghurt
- 4 tablespoon liquid oil
- salt
Instructions
Wash the leeks and clean them, then cut them into small rings. Add oil to a deep pan and cook the leeks until they soften.
Toss the white cheese with a fork. Leave the leeks for cooling. Then add the white cheese after it has cooled down and mix well. Divide the pastry into halves, and put them on a flat surface. In a bowl mix one egg, a glass of milk and a spoonful of oil and salt. Spread this mixture on the pastry with a spoon. Then put the mixture that you have prepared onto the pastry. Fold the pastry into long rolls and roll it into the center of a round oven tray and wrap it as shown below. Continue to wrap each new pastry until you are finished.
Once this is done, mix one egg, four spoon yogurt and two spoonfuls of oil. Spread it evenly over your prepared area. Bake in a 180 degree oven for 40 - 50 minutes. Serve hot. Bon Appetit!
