Kuymak
Sometimes I look for different things to eat at breakfast, I like to try something that is not classical. Especially at weekends when we combine breakfast with lunch. Kuymak is a traditional Turkish dish that you can eat anytime but the taste of polenta is a bit thick for my taste. So I decided to change it a little bit and the result is significant. Hope you like it.
Ingredients
- 50 gr polenta
- 300 ml water
- 100 ml cream
- 2 table spoon butter
- 50 gr parmesan (grated)
- 60 gr fresh cheese (grated)
- salt
Instructions
Boil the water and sprinkle the polenta a little at a time whisking continuously. Add the cream and cook for another two minutes. Take one spoon each from parmesan and fresh cheese aside. Add rest of the cheese and then the butter and continue to whisk. Season with salt. Cook until it thickens and small bulbs come out. Pour the mixing into a large baking tray. It should be about 1 cm deep. Put the cheese that you set aside over the polenta. Grill it until the cheese is golden and bubbling. Serve with roasted bread.
Bon Appetite!
