Lokma
My kids love Lokma very much. Especially at breakfast. Usually it is eaten salty but my girls eat it both salty and sugary that's why I prepare it without salt. The recipe below creates a lot of dough. 8 to 10 person can eat it. If not eaten at once there is nothing left at the end of the day. Proven by experience :)
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 glass of luke warm milk (250 ml)
- 1 glass of luke warm water (250 ml)
- 1 dessert spoon sugar
- 1 pack dry yeast (10 gr)
- 120 gr yogurt
- 150 ml liquid oil (you will also need some oil to fry)
- 900 gr flour
Instructions
Put the milk, water, yeast and sugar in to a bowl and stir slightly. Let it sit for ten minutes. After ten minute put all the other ingredients and knead. Let it ten more minutes to rise. Put oil in to a frying pan. Take pieces as big as an apricot from the dough and softly roll in your hands. Then pull from the sides and put it into the oil. Fry both sides. You can both eat them with cheese and jam.
Bon Appetite!
