Fava
This is a side dish for hot summer days. Easy to make and delicious to eat. I like fava especially with roasted bread as a mid-day snack. Hope you like it.
Ingredients
- 2 glass shelled broad beans
- 1 onion
- 1 carrot
- 1 glass of olive oil (250ml)
- 1 table spoon sugar
- Half bunch of dill
- salt
- water
Instructions
Leave the shelled broad beans in water from the night before. Cut the onion and carrot small. Put the beans, onion, carrot, olive oil, sugar and salt into a pan. Pour water over until it pass the ingredients two or three fingers. Cook until the beans are smooth. Drain the water if left. With a help of a hand blender pure all the cooked ingredients. Add the chopped dill and mix. Pour into a tray and rest in refrigerator for two to three hours. Serve with chopped dill and lemon.
